JB’s Supplier Diversity Program
As a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) JB’s High Voltage, Inc. understands the importance of supporting Diverse Business Enterprise’s (DBE) and creating mutually beneficial relationships with our customers and suppliers to foster diversity and inclusion in our industry. Thus, we strive to promote the sourcing of goods and services from high-performing, competitive diverse suppliers. Additionally, we encourage our suppliers that do not qualify as DBE’s to develop and promote supplier diversity policies within their companies.
Our Goals
-
JB’s High Voltage’s current diverse spending goal is 20% of annual procurement (material and subcontractors), with the hope of increasing to 30% by 2025.
-
Conduct an annual meeting with executives and employees to report previous year’s diverse spending and discuss progress and potential improvements to Supplier Diversity Program.
-
Establish a Tier 2 diversity reporting program with suppliers to promote a diverse supply chain, and to augment JB’s Supplier Diversity Program.
-
Through growth of our company and our Supplier Diversity Program, become a member of national diversity organizations, including:
-
National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
-
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
-
National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA)
-
Potential DBE Supplier/Subcontractor Application
[ninja_form id=2]
Filling out the potential supplier application does not ensure business with JB’s High Voltage, Inc. The application is intended to bring DBE businesses to our attention; however, all suppliers are selected on the quality, competitive pricing, and customer service associated with the product or service they provide. To help promote supply chain diversity, JB’s High Voltage may pass on suppliers’ information to other companies in need of provided product/services.
How to become a “Certified” Diverse Business Enterprise (DBE)
Many businesses are classified as diverse or small businesses, however certification, via a third-party certifying group is necessary to be fully recognized as a Diverse Business Enterprise. The certification provides value to both the certified company and its customers.
