We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electric Project Manager to lead high-voltage projects from estimating and bidding through execution and closeout. This role develops cost estimates, prepares proposals, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams, and field leadership while overseeing project finances, schedules, and change management. The ideal candidate can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high-voltage private and utility projects from end-to-end: estimating, bidding, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and field crews.
- Oversee project financials, including cost forecasting, invoicing, and change order tracking.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate procurement and subcontractor performance.
- Lead and mentor project teams to maintain productivity, accountability, and quality.
- Review drawings, reports, and project documentation for accuracy.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and support field operations.
- Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, and daily reports.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience on Electric Distribution and/or Transmission projects.
- Strong knowledge of High-Voltage systems, construction methods, codes, and safety regulation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while controlling cost, schedule, and quality.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with HeavyJob and Smartsheets preferred.
- Experience with private or municipal utilities is a plus.
Work Hours
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 4:30pm; however, this position requires flexibility to support project schedule, client demands, outages, emergencies, and critical milestones, which may include work outside of normal business hours.
